Chivalry, honor, romance, and magic entwine as King Arthur and his knights ride into Shryock Auditorium on Friday, October 20th.  Immerse yourself in the enchanted kingdom of Camelot,  the mystical tale that has captivated people throughout centuries. Can this idyllic land survive when Queen Guinevere falls in love with Sir Lancelot?  Camelot is presented by Shryock Auditorium, with local support by University mall and a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.

Written by Lerner and Lowe, the original Camelot, was a musical triumph which ran on Broadway for 25 months.  Loosely based on the legend of King Arthur and his knights, this story is filled with love, hope, and ultimately betrayal.  A treat for the whole family, this performance should not be missed!

Filled with one memorable song after another such as; “I Wonder What the King is Doing Tonight,” “If Ever I Would Leave You,” “What Do the Simple Folk Do,” “I Loved You Once In Silence,” “How to Handle a Woman,” “The Simple Joys of Maidenhood,” and of course, the wonderful title song, “Camelot,” this is always a show that moves every audience and leaves them wanting and hoping for the realization of the ideals and high morals of this most perfect place.
